5 smart beginner tips – get started with GLAMRDiP in 1-2-3

Tip 1: Stir the powder before use

Open the jar and stir the powder a little with your cuticle tool before you start. It will remove any clumps that can happen over time, give you more even coverage—and fewer “oops, what happened there?”

Tip 2: Thin and even layers with Base

When applying Base, less is more.

Gently drag the brush along the inside lip of the bottle before applying – this will remove excess liquid and create a controlled, thin layer that lays down nicely.

Start at the cuticle, and gently sweep only along the middle of the nail.

After your first base + colour dip along the centre line, you can apply the second base stroke slightly wider.

This allows the colour to build naturally higher in the centre and thinner on the edges.

If you apply base to the whole nail from the first stroke, the colour can be too heavy on the edges.

Your final base stroke should also cover the sides of the nail so that the sides only get a thin layer of colour. This will give you the most natural, professional look!

Check out the APEX method tutorial for more details on this method 💅

Tip 3: Brush like a perfectionist (but wait 2 minutes first)

After each dip, you must brush off the powder – but not right away! Wait approx. 2 minutes for the layer to set.

When brushing: be thorough. Include the top, bottom and especially the edge. The next layer should be applied on a clean and stable surface – not on top of loose powder.

Tip 4: Use Clear as the last layer

Clear isn't just for looks – it protects the pigments in your colour.
When you file and shape afterwards, Clear helps prevent you from sanding off the color itself.
Think of it as: a protective shell for your perfect finish .

Tip 5: Be generous with your Seal

Seal is what holds the entire manicure together. Apply it liberally and evenly – from edge to edge – to ensure everything cures properly and stays looking good for a long time.

Voilà!

These tips are simple, but they make a big difference. Try them the next time you dip – and notice how smooth and confident the process suddenly feels 💫
